Hospitality trainees perform a range of tasks in hospitality establishments, which vary depending on the traineeship stream they undertake. A hospitality trainee can specialise in Asian cooking, kitchen operations or general hospitality.
Complete a Hospitality traineeship. Usually, you will need at least Year 10 with reasonable results in English and Maths. You may be able to start this traineeship while you are still at school.
You will enjoy interacting with people from all cultures and walks of like. You may have a creative flair which you can express in preparing and displaying food or table and room decoration. Working broken shifts, long hours and being on your feet won't bother you, and you are level-headed and calm in what can be a busy and pressured environment.
